LEXINGTON, Georgia — Authorities are looking for the last few wild dogs they believe were part of a pack that killed an elderly couple in northeast Georgia.
Preliminary autopsy results show 77-year-old Lothar Karl Schweder and his 65-year-old wife, Sherry, died of injuries related to multiple animal bites.
Authorities rounded up about 11 dogs Monday and returned to the area Tuesday to find four more spotted by a deputy.
Authorities say it appears the pack of wild dogs attacked Sherry Schweder as she walked a dirt road near her house. They say it appears her husband later went looking for her and was also attacked by the dogs.
The Humane Society says federal statistics show an average of 16 people die each year from dog bites.

According to the NSC, or National Safety Council the odds of dying from a dog bite during the year is 1 in 8,985,062. Sherry and Karl Scheweder die on the same day from dog bites (wild dog no less) and the odds of this happening must be about 1 in hah-God-wouldnt-be-so-mean.
Sherry and Karl Schweder are the winners of the Shit Sucking Lottery for 2009. Congratulations.
I’m certain the kid in the video wishes a pack of wild dogs would bite is friends face off.
