Diana O’Brien, a 22 year old model was murdered in Shanghai back in July after being in the city for only two weeks on an assignment. The murderer, Chen Jun is one of millions of migrants living in China faced with poverty and desperate for money. Chen Jun stabbed O’Brien repeatedly in a hallway outside of her apartment after she discovered him ransacking her apartment.
Chen Jun was apprehended several days after the stabbing near his home located in the province of Anhui. Chen Jun is not the only notable person of interest to live in Anhui as the tallest woman in Asia, Yao Defen lives there as well (I am a wealth of incredibly useless information). Shanghai police said they were able to identify Jun after seeing him in footage from surveillance cameras near O’Brien’s apartment building.
Apparently O’Brien suffered an agonizing death because she was alive for a good period of time after Jun stabbed her, but no one discovered her until after she succumbed. Good news though, Jun lives in China where he is assuredly going to have a speedy trial and be executed without delay. Unlike our pathetic penal system which rewards murderers with years of appeals and sympathy from crackpots who feel the Death Penalty is to harsh, China will line him up in an alley and mow him down for his crime.
Though official numbers aren’t known, foreign experts with contacts in the Chinese judiciary estimate that between 5,000 and 6,000 people were given the death penalty in 2007, compared to as many as 15,000 cases a year a decade ago. After 26 years, in one of the most important reforms of China’s judicial system, the Supreme People’s Court — China’s top court — now reviews all death penalty sentences imposed by lower courts in an attempt to ensure that death sentences are only imposed for dirtbags who have committed heinous crimes with serious social consequences. The O’brien family will have sweet justice thanks to the courts in China because Jun will be executed.
America wastes to many resources, both monetary and time, in allowing even the most blatantly guilty to try and manipulate the system. Take for instance Curtis Allgier, a 27-year-old inmate who killed (not allegedly) Stephen Anderson, 22 year veteran in Utah’s correction department after a struggle in the prison hospital. Be compassionate America because Allgier did not intend to hurt Mr. Anderson when questioned about the struggle which ensued following a trip to an Orthopedic surgeon for Curtis’s sore back. WTF!!!!!!
No, I was, I was holding the door handle like this, he was wrapped around me like that, and I just told him to let me go. I just had it in my hands. I wasn’t trying to hurt that dude; a little old man; I don’t want to hurt that dude.
There you have it folks, Allgier didn’t intend to hurt him, so no harm done. We can’t possibly give this dickbag the death penalty. I say we give him a one way ticket to China and plaster his body with this new bumper sticker I designed.
