I’ve been trying to buy an iPhone since June 20th. I say ‘trying’ because AT&T Premier online doesn’t want me to own one. It is my belief there is a secret government conspiracy to keep me from expanding my abilities to turn TooBrokeToLaugh into the next online juggernaut, so my iPhone is unattainable.

Here is what happened to me in case you are wondering just how ass munchingly bad AT&T support can be.


New AT&T 2 year contract and two iPhones (1 3G original and 1 16GB 3gs) are ordered on June 20th.

Order is updated on June 23rd to ‘Processing’

AT&T ports one of the numbers from Verizon prior to receiving phones, so I had to call support to have them port the number back to Verizon until the phones arrive. I am told the phones will ship in a couple of days.

Call AT&T Premier support on 23rd, 25th, 27th, 29th and July 1st to understand why my order states ‘Processing’ and to see if anything is wrong. Each time I am told nothing is wrong, but rather the iPhone 3GS is on back-order but will ship any day.

At this point I am already into this Premier order for 12 days, 9 business days, so I figure sit tight and be patient. Big mistake!

We have received your order request, and we expect to begin processing it shortly.

I phone AT&T Premier support and am told the order was not received. At this time she would fulfill the order, but I would need to wait another 7-14 business days.

I am not kidding!

Spoke to a supervisor who reiterated he has no idea what happened, but I will in fact have to wait another 7-14 business days. I ask the supervisor

While I am waiting one full month to receive an iPhone, I ask him if the Customer Service department would like my address so they can fuck me in the ass until the phone arrives.

He doesn’t like that idea. Final result after waiting since order date of June 20th.

“Your recently placed AT&T Premier order was cancelled.”

Fuck Off AT&T Premier

Apple store here I come. Screw you AT&T Premier. You suck!
