Too Broke To Laugh

Democrat, Republican, or Independent, one thing is for certain we can all empathize with Archie Bunker.Oh Archie is a big mouth and politically incorrect, but his social commentary is in many ways reflective of the opinions of so many people, who otherwise are afraid to say so publicly.

This clip is spot on and targets two of the biggest political issues of our present time, energy and the corruption and greed which led to a massive financial meltdown. Archie Bunker reels on about the demand placed on Americans to purchase to excess, fattening the wallets of corporations and then placing the burden on the backs of Americans to deal with a burgeoning energy crisis caused by the very purchasing habits ‘they’ espoused.

This clip is prophetic, it’s almost scary and it is social commentary at its finest from one of televisions greatest, misunderstood loud mouths. We all have a lot to learn from Archie Bunker, just don’t tell your neighbor, or you probably won’t be invited to their next party.
