KEVIL, KY (KFVS) – A man was shot and killed in McCracken County after police say he tried to break into a family’s home around 2:00 a.m.
The family woke to the sound of the alarm system, indicating the door to the attached garage had been opened. The homeowner went outside to investigate, when he heard his wife inside screaming.
He ran back into the home where his wife told him the intruder, later identified as 18-year-old Andrew Caleb Barnett, was inside their attached garage attempting to get into the home through a wooden door with a window, according to police. The homeowner reportedly yelled several times that he had a gun, telling Barnett not to come inside. However, Barnett continued to make advances toward the man. Police say the homeowner fired one shot at Barnett, hitting him in the arm, and going into his chest area. Barnett apparently fell to the floor but got back up fighting the homeowner, at one point, biting him in the arm.
The fight continued through the home and eventually back into the garage. When police arrived they arrested Barnett and transported him to Western Baptist Hospital for the gunshot, but he ultimately died.
The McCracken County Police Department reports the 18-year-old was under the influence of Psilocybin Mushrooms, or “Magic Mushrooms” as they’re called on the street, and thought he was inside his own home. At one point, he even called the homeowner “Dad”.

When I was Andrew’s age I too took ‘Magic Mushrooms’ while sitting on a park bench in the Boston Commons. It was a sunny day when I opened my bag of shit smelling brown sticks and mushroom caps and I was ready for one spectacular ride.
I polished off my delectable buffet of cow shit fungi, no water mind you, when I turned to the smelly wino next to me and said ‘Dad, can I get a swig of that’ pointing to his back-washed laden bourbon bottle. Unlike Andrew who mistook a stranger for his Dad, the malodorous man sitting on the bench next to me was my Dad, so it was all good.
Moral of the story is, if you are going to take ‘Magic Mushrooms’ make sure you do them with your Dad, whether he is a hobo, or not.

A jury in central Wisconsin will begin deliberating Friday in the case of a father charged with homicide for allegedly praying instead of taking his dying daughter to a doctor.
Dale Neumann was the last witness called Thursday in his second-degree reckless homicide trial in Wausau.
He told jurors he couldn’t seek medical treatment for his 11-year-old daughter Madeline — who suffered from undiagnosed diabetes — without disobeying God.
“I can’t do that because Biblically, I cannot find that is the way people are healed,” Neumann said.
Attorneys will make closing arguments Friday morning and then give the jury the case.
Prosecutors contend the 47-year-old father of three other children had a legal duty to take the girl to the hospital because her health had deteriorated to the point she couldn’t walk, talk or eat.
Neumann testified he believed praying for the girl was needed because all healing comes from God and he never expected her to die.
“If I go to the doctor, I am putting the doctor before God,” Neumann said. “I am not believing what he said he would do.”

Dale Neumann is a murderer and his wife is an accomplice in the death of their daughter Madeline. I don’t give a shit what the jury decides, forever in my mind the Neumann’s murdered her. If the Neumann’s are not found guilty and sent to prison then it sends the message that murder is permissible in the name of religion.
Dale Neumann had a responsibility to take care of Madeline, seek medical attention and ensure her well being, but instead this cruel, sadistic, evil man put his psychotic beliefs first and watched her die. Dale Neumann is insane. Dale Neumann wants his religion to be above the law, to be above his daughter, to be above humanity and this jury needs to tell him NO!
I don’t believe in Hell, but I do believe in Hell on earth and I hope Dale Neumann is sentenced to Hell on earth in the form of daily beatings, rapings and any other form of mental and, or physical torture the inmates in prison can provide.
Go ahead and smile Dale, for you will be judged not by God but by your peers in prison and unlike God who is your imaginary friend, they are very real.

DALLAS — The hotel bathroom was a de facto prison cell — a cramped, foul space where three young children were starved, beaten and sexually assaulted for at least nine months.
Each day for reasons unknown, their mother’s boyfriend would force the 10-year-old boy to stand in the corner with his arms raised above his head; his 5-year-old half brother had to kneel in another corner, arms also raised.
The 10-year-old, his face and limbs covered in bruises, told a social worker that the experience was “my living nightmare.” The 11-year-old said she repeatedly was sexually assaulted. The 5-year-old was so thin that bones were visible in his limbs.
The children were rescued by their uncle and police, their ribs protruding and their bellies distended. After throwing up food given to them by stunned officials, the children expressed gratitude at being found.
“God was watching over us and listening to our prayers,” the 11-year-old said.
The 10-year-old agreed. “My prayers have been answered,” he said. “I’m safe, that’s all I need.”
The mother’s boyfriend, Alfred Santiago, 37, faces charges of aggravated sexual assault and continuous sexual abuse. He remained jailed Wednesday, unable to make his $125,000 bail. No court appearance has been set.
The mother, Abneris Santiago, 30, is charged with injury to a child. She remained jailed on $50,000 bail and is expected to appear in court next week, when a judge will decide whether the case will go to a grand jury.

Nine months, or roughly 270 days these children were tortured and no help arrived. Day after day these children suffered unimaginable horrors at the hands of wicked adults, including the pathetic, weak mother who sat idly by and let it happen.
God was complacent too.
If God truly did answer the prayers of these children then why did God wait 270 days before intervening? Why didn’t God stop this abuse after day one, because I am sure these children prayed every day to be spared. I suppose God was busy. God is a vengeful God, a God full of wrath and content for the sinful humans, so maybe he was teaching the children a lesson.
God was complacent through the abuse of children for 270 days before ‘answering the prayers’ of children. Why did God do nothing for so long? If you fancy yourself a religious person who believes in God and the power of God to heal, protect, guide and take an interest in our lives, then why did God allow this abuse of children to go on for so long?
I know the answer. Just read any number of posts I’ve written and the answer will reveal itself to you.
